Two publications this week addressed these functions of Argonaute1 in Arabidopsis (Arribas-Hernandez et al., The Plant Cell 28, 1563 &#8211; 1580; Arribas-Hernandez et al., Plant Physiology 171, 2620 &#8211; 2632.). The structure of human Argonaute1 from the animated gif has been published in 2013 by K. Nakanishi et al..
